Squinkies have been scarce as well. Bill Nichols, president and co-founder of Squinkies maker Blip Toys in Minnetonka, Minn., said he was inspired to create Squinkies by dispensing machines found in grocery and convenience stores. Squinkies toy dispensers double as play sets for Squinkies, which each come in a plastic bubble.

These look like one of the hot gifts for boys this Christmas season!

I’d say the jewels in this crown are The Force Unleashed, Empire at War, and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast—all three of which would be a pretty good buy at 50 bucks. Here’s your chance to get 10 more Star Wars games for the same price.

If you know a boy who like star wars and likes video games, then this is a great deal!

Chuck E Cheese’s recalls 1.2 million promotional toys (Chuck E. Cheese recalls 1.2 million toys – Dallas Morning News)
http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE68E2GG20100915

BANGALORE (Reuters) – Popular kid’s restaurant chain Chuck E Cheese’s, owned by CEC Entertainment Inc (CEC.N), recalled about 1.1 million Light-up Rings and 120,000 Star Glasses on Wednesday, as the promotional toys had faulty battery fixtures that can hurt children.

If crushed or pulled apart, the plastic casing on the battery-operated toys can break into small pieces, possibly exposing the batteries and posing an ingestion hazard, the company and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

If you know anyone who takes their kids to chuck e cheeses, please let them know about this recall.

Humidifiers Just Got More Fun for Kids – Vicks Launches Starry Night Cool … – PR Newswire (press release)

With the Vicks Starry Night Humidifier, parents also no longer have to deal with the hassle of glow-in-the-dark stickers to create an awe-inspiring galaxy on their child’s bedroom ceiling

What a great gift idea for a younger child. I know we have done the glow in the dark stickers and then “enjoyed” taking them down when we moved. This is a good way for kids to enjoy something that helps them breath easier.

Endless Banana

Enter “infinite toys,” key chains that recreate pleasurable experiences, like popping bubble wrap or opening packages, ad infinitum. Some companies, like Epoch, however, may have gone a little too far with the idea. The company’s “Endless Banana” is a replica of the tropical fruit that allows its owners to peel to their heart’s content. The oddest part? Epoch execs hired anime voice actress Saki Fujita to recreate peeling sounds.

There are some toys that we find that don’t make our list to suggest as a gift. This (and the others in this article) are some we do NOT suggest. But they sure are funny to read about!

Modular Robotics hopes to hit the stores this December with limited editions of a new robotic toy, colorful “Cubelets” that help kids connect with the scientific thinking and STEM concepts behind robotics. “It’s Lego on steroids,” laughs Mark Gross, co-founder and research director of Modular Robotics, describing the blocks that encourage kids, ages seven and up, to wrap their heads around computation thinking. “We’re in the creativity business. With our Cubelet toys, kids learn to create things that think.”

I hope they get these out for this years Christmas season. I know a few boys who would be glad to get these!

(CANVAS STAFF REPORTS) – Lego remains the most timeless toy, according to a new British survey that ranked it tops in popularity.

The survey of more than 3,000 adults aged 20 to 40 rated Lego as the most popular toy ever manufactured. That put it over Barbie and Game Boys. The survey results were compiled by Firebox.com, a UK online toy and gizmo gift store, and British toy news website Toyology.

Not only were legos a great toy for all of us growing up, with their new lines coming out, they are going to be more popular than ever!

Is there a better way to get breakfast ready on game day than with an NFL team toaster?  I can’t think of one.  Awesomeness will abound when scrambled eggs and bacon are kept company by a few slices of toast with your team’s logo on it.  NLF fans are always on the lookout for the ways to express their ultimate devotion to their team.  The true fanatic will love the team toaster.

For those who EAT, sleep and drink football, this one’s a winner.

Pangea Dallas Cowboys Protoast Toaster starting at $39.99.

Here’s a great gift idea for the boy who loves football!

We’ll be adding this to our list soon.

roboscooperRoboscooper from WowWee bears a striking resemblance to Pixar’s WALL-E, except it’s real and only costs you $70.. Is there room for two cute garbage collecting robots?

Here is a great gift for boys who don’t like to clean their rooms (which ends up being almost all of them!)  This would be more for fun than actually a maid, but it’s a start!
